​Why are your products so expensive?
Simply put, synthetic ingredients are cheaper to manufacture. In fact, organic ingredients are generally twice as expensive to non-organic ingredients. Premium products like The Beaux Apothicaire's range often contain rare, high-grade ingredients sourced from around the globe. Each of these ingredients is not only costly to source but also requires the utmost care in handling, preservation, and incorporation into the final product. Natural and organic skincare products are often better than chemical-based products because they are made with ingredients that are gentler on the skin and less likely to cause irritation.
*Natural products are organic, but all organic products are made from natural ingredients without the use of synthetic chemicals during farming and processing. As an example, an organic product will have between 95 and 100% chemical-free ingredients, whereas this is typically between 50 and 70% for a natural product. Natural cosmetic products contain a high proportion of natural ingredients of plant, animal or mineral origin. They limit as much as possible the use of synthetic ingredients, especially those from the petrochemical industry. However, they can include plants, milk products, or egg products from intensive agriculture.
